A RUBERY boy was jumping for joy after scooping a top gong in a trampolining competition.
Energetic Mikey Lightfoot, from Waseley Road, won first prize in the Midlands Trampolining Qualifier in the under 13 age group.
The ten-year-old is part of the Ultimate Trampolining Club in Cradley Heath and has been committed to the sport since the age of four.
He has passed his grade four examinations and will start working towards his next grade following the victory at Cocksmoor Leisure Centre on March 29.
Proud mum Julie said: "We are over the moon for him. His older brother has already won lots of trampolining awards but this is the first for Mikey, it's brilliant."
