LOVING homes are being sought for five energetic Border Collies who have hit hard times.
Danemere Animal Rescue is caring for the playful pooches who are aged between five months and three years.
The bitches have come from different backgrounds and David Lannie, kennel supervisor at the Tibberton sanctuary, said they will need lots of walks and mental simulation.
"It's very strange that we have five pure breed dogs in, and even stranger that they are all Border Collies," he told the Advertiser.
"All of the dogs are friendly but they are working dogs and need lots of exercise.
"The sooner we find homes the better, because they do become quite stressed in the kennels and really deserve caring new owners."
