CARING businesses are being urged to swing into action and support a charity golf day in Droitwich Spa.
Debi and Nigel Wainwright, of Charles Dickens Close, organise the annual event to mark the anniversary of the death of their son Alistair.
The Chawson First School pupil was just six-years-old when he died from a brain tumour in May 2000, and the couple have become tireless fundraisers in their bid to help other young victims of cancer.
This week they are calling on town businesses to support the charity golf day, which will be held at Droitwich Golf Club, off Ford Lane, on Wednesday May 21.
A key sponsor has pulled out and more golfers are also needed to play in the tournament.
Debi said: "It's always a great day and we try to get good prizes.
"Any help would be greatly appreciated."
