DROITWICH Spa Snooker Centre A need just one more frame to complete a successful defence of the district title.

Spa go into the final round of matches this week one point behind Droitwich and District division one leaders Millfields B but their rivals played their final match last week.

The title holders host Droitwich Royal British Legion in their last match knowing a win will hand them back-to-back championships. And they already have one frame of the five-frame match on the board as the Legion only have four players available.

That advantage brings Spa A level with Millfields B before a ball has been potted and leaves them requiring one frame from four to seal victory.

Bromsgrove Royal British Legion A also need a single point to wrap up the division two title.

Elsewhere, Ashley Harwood of Droitwich Royal British Legion B made the highest break of 32 in the penultimate round of matches.
