OH yea! Oh yea! ... Alcester is gearing up for its annual town crier contest.
More than 20 contestants from across the country are set to take part in the event on Saturday, April 19 - the 28th consecutive year it has been held.
Alcester town crier Keith Tomlinson is behind the contest, which will again be staged in the Malt Mill Lane complex following a parade through the town from the Alcester Town Hall at 1.45pm.
Last year's winner, Kevin Griffiths, of Barnoldswick, will be returning to defend his title with fellow criers, Paul Gough, of Nuneaton and Bedworth, Graham Sutherland, of Warwick, and Kevin Ward of Bromsgrove, also in with a chance.
For the event each competitor needs to deliver a cry of between 75 and 100 words about their town.
