CALLS have been made for more CCTV cameras in Alcester following complaints of disturbances after pub closing times.
Members of Alcester's Neighbourhood Watch Scheme are now calling for two more cameras.
Three cameras, costing £125,000, were set up in the town centre three years ago but the neighbourhood watch scheme has said it wants two more put up in Henley Street and Gashouse Lane.
The neighbourhood watch group has not noted any specific problems in the areas but has said elderly residents have complained about disturbances.
Alcester town councillor Sue Adams urged town businesses to help pay for the extra CCTV cameras.
Shopkeepers have previously been asked to cough up for the cameras but the appeal fell on deaf ears.
The town council has also asked Advantage Alcester to help with funding.
