WORCESTERSHIRE made it eight wins in a row as they secured promotion to division two.

The women's B team drew 3-3 with Bedfordshire with the match award going to Jo Clements (140, 123, 102) for a 3-1 win and an average of 17.86.

The men's B also drew, six wins coming from Simon Webb 2x140,121, 7x100, 3-1 (24.05), Alan Merriman, 140, 4x100, 3-0 (24.64). Tim Green, 140, 2x100, 3-0 (21.47). Mark Bayliss, 180, 3x140, 4x100, 3-2 (22.82) Rob Heming, 140,135,133,121,100 included an 18 dart leg in his 3-1 win (21.89).

Sunday's match started level at 9-9. Worcestershire Women stormed to a 5-1 win putting the county 14-10 up.

Jackie Crew, 140,100. 3-0 (18.56). Jackie Jenkins, 5x100. 3-2 (20.11). Mandy Morgan, hit the highest clock of the match 151 in her 3-2 (16.99) win. Janet Hill, 2x140,4x100. 3-1 (19.74).

Captain Rachael Dixon was on form to take another match award with a 23.48 average which could win her the national award.

Bedford took the first two games in the men's match. Paul Brookes, 3x140,125,4x100. 3-1 (23.95) took the match to 15-12. Again Beds came back winning the next two. Jess Archer, 180,140,132,125,121,116 beat the experienced Eammon Lilley 3-1 in 19/21 & 21 to extend the lead 16-14. Beds pulled another back.

Next on and a worthy match award winner Kevin James, 140,5x100, won in 20/20 & 15 darts with a 116 game shot and an average of 27.33.

Team mate Graham Perry also won 3-0 ensuring a draw. losing the next two games brought the score to 18-17.

Last man on Mark Jones played with confidence scoring 180, 2x140,127,2x100 won in straight legs of 19/18 & 22 darts to give Worcestershire their eighth win in a row.

Worcestershire take on Wiltshire next month in a match that will decide the championship.
