THE annual school netball tournament organised by Alcester police was hotly contested at the weekend.
Schools from all over the Alcester area gathered at Studley High School to compete in the prestigious event on Saturday.
In the 11 and under category, 19 teams entered but St Faith's Junior and Infants School came away winners by beating Dunnington Junior School in the final to claim the Schoolwear Centres Trophy.
In the 13 and under event, five teams battled it out and St Benedict's High School came away victors with Alcester Grammar School runners-up.
Five teams also took part in the 15 and under competition with Henley High School taking the victors' laurels by winning all their games and Alcester Grammar School again runners-up.
Area Commander Chief Superintendent David Whitehouse and Phil Brown from the National Schoolwear Centres, Alcester, presented trophies, medals and certificates to all winners and runners up.
