A MAN accused of raping a teenager at a party 12 years ago told a jury she consented to sex as one of the "one-night stands" he favoured at the time.
Jason Warren said he socialised in 1991 to "pull girls" and had enjoyed sex with up to 20 women before long-term relationships took over.
The victim claimed he attacked her at the outdoor event in a field nearby and also bit her on the breast and stomach.
Not long after the 21st birthday party, she confronted him on a bus and accused him of rape, Worcester Crown Court heard.
She later pulled out her hair because Warren had liked it and needed help from a psychologist for four years.
Warren, a 31-year-old contracts manager, of Moor Street, Hereford, denies rape. He told the court that the pair had first had sex in the living room of her parents' home .
But he said his memory of the party in a Herefordshire village was impaired by time. He could not "hand on heart" recall having sex in the field "but I think I did".
He was attracted to the girl, who was then aged 17, because she was pretty. He spent the next two years "pulling girls" and added: "I didn't rape anybody on that evening. I don't bite people, I don't push them onto the floor."
Warren said he had liked one-night stands and sometimes saw the woman involved for a second time, which had happened in this case.
He denied the alleged victim accused him of rape on the bus. He said she accused him of hurting her. One of her friends dismissed her accusation as over-reaction.
The mother of the alleged victim told the jury she became withdrawn in 1991 and stayed in her room.
She began shaving off her hair and pulling it out. Bu last year, after the rape complaint was made to police, her daughter became a different person, confident and a lot happier.
Roger Harrison, defending, revealed the woman had been bullied at school and spent the last six months of her school life working from home.
Prosecutor Simon Davis, in cross-examination, suggested to the defendant: "You hadn't scored that night. She'd said yes once, and you thought she would say yes again. You forced yourself upon her."
The trial continues.
