SAVE THE CHILDREN FUND: The AGM of the Moreton branch of the Save the Children Fund will take place at the White Hart Hotel, Moreton, on Monday, April 14 at 7.30pm.
This branch, which was formed just four years ago, has gone from strength to strength and has raised over £26,000 during that time. The small committee is supported by many friends in their wide variety of fundraising events, including craft fairs, fish and chip suppers, dances and coffee mornings. The latest event was a very successful Murder Mystery evening at the British Legion hall, which raised over £300.
You are invited to attend the AGM to hear about the work of the Save the Children Fund and the committee's plans for the coming year. New ideas are always welcome and a list is being compiled of people who are willing to offer help throughout the year but who may not wish to be involved in the committee.
If you would like further information or would like to offer to help in any way, please contact Joyce Rees, chairman, 01608 650825, or Doreen Exton, secretary, 01608 651789.
