BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION: The North Cotswold branch has benefited from several fundraising events during the past six months. In October 2002 a sponsored walk raised £2,236, in addition Shredded Wheat has pledged an extra £225 for vouchers collected from cereal packets. A prize bingo held at The Royal British Legion Club realised £501 and Mrs Cath Hemming donated a further £333 to the branch from another bingo and raffles. Sylvia and Dennis Brooks organised a Moreton school reunion in January and gave the charity the proceeds, which amounted to £522. Branch committee members are delighted and very grateful to everyone who contributed to these sums, which will be used to fund research into the prevention and treatment of heart disease and related illnesses. The branch AGM will be held on Wednesday, April 30, at the Congregational Church Hall at 11.30am. Visitors welcome.
