ARCHERY ace Steve Harvey is aiming for more glory this season after being picked for the England squad.
The 34-year-old Stourport man, who specialises in the bowhunter limited division, has been selected by the English Field Archery Association.
Harvey has an impressive record over just four years in the sport, being crowned a European champion and world silver medallist last year.
Now the hot-shot bids to score points for the successful England set-up.
Harvey is off to Italy for the European Bowhunter Championships from June 22 until 28.
He is then in Finland for the European Field Archery Championships, running from July 28 until August 2.
Also lined up during the summer are the EFAA Bowhunter Championships and National Championships.
But the heating and plumbing engineer is after sponsorship to fund himself in the little-publicised sport.
Harvey, whose father Ron also competes, said: "I was quite shocked to be called up. I really plan to go for it this year."
He can be contacted on 01299 829669.
