ATHLETICS: Foure fell runners led Blakedown Venture Scout Unit to their most successful year at the Four Inns Race in the Peak District.
Three teams took on the tough 45-mile challenge, organised by Derbyshire Scout Association, over some of the roughest moor land in Great Britain on Saturday.
The successful B team, who were all U-20s, won the Derbyshire Plate, the Freda Thompson Cup for U-25s and the Falcon Trophy.
Alex Hellawell, Mark Harper, Will Green and Ben Harper also finished second in the Four Inns Cup overall trophy after completing the challenge in nine hours 37 seconds.
The A team, made up of Colin Banks, Roger Elwell, Richard Heelis and Shaun Thompson, came third in the Derbyshire Plate.
They also took the Innsman Trophy (160 combined age) with a time of 10-53.
Nigel Elwell, James Hill, Ross Unitt and Emma Heelis, who were in the C team, completed the event in 12-25.
