CHAMPIONS Bewdley Town went five points clear at the top of West Midlands League Division One South when they thrashed a poor Bustleholme Reserves 6-0.
Goals from top scorer John Maffei, Keith Elliot and Grant Gibbs put rampant Bewdley 3-0 ahead by half-time.
Gibbs added two more in the second half to complete his hat-trick, while centre-back Andrew Ford scored his first goal of the season to complete the rout.
Matt Gray, in goal for Bewdley instead of the injured Jim Pickett, did not look in danger of conceding, while 16-year-old Steve Hoult played superbly on his return to the side.
The players are asked to meet at the Waggon and Horses pub at 1.15pm for Saturday's trip to Lye Town Reserves.
