WORCESTER Rugby Club are asking the sell-out Sixways crowd to roar them to victory against Rotherham.
The two National One heavyweights come face to face on Saturday with the winners almost certain to take their place in the Zurich Premiership.
Sixways coaches John Brain and Andy Keast are hoping that the record 5,700 league crowd can propel Worcester to the promised land.
"We are asking the crowd to play an active part in Saturday and that means supporting the team, not simply spectating," said Brain.
"There will be a good many people at this game that normally do not come to Worcester and what we would say to them is make yourself heard.
"We need their support and that means noise when we have the ball but, more importantly, when we haven't and are maybe on the back foot.
"Rugby is all about ebb and flow and we won't have the ball for periods. That's when we will need the crowd's support. Rotherham will be talking about our crowd, make no mistake about it, and they will want to quieten it down. They will think if they nullify the team, they will nullify the crowd.
"It's up to all of us to make sure that doesn't happen and that means the crowd supporting us throughout the match.
"We've said it before but it is so relevant on Saturday. We are all in this together and it's time to stand up for the team, for the club and for the city.
"The Sixways supporters want a Premiership team. Well, they can play a big part in that on Saturday but they need to be bold and they need to make themselves heard for 80 minutes. It will make a massive difference."
Worcester go into the game as the league's top scoring side and for Keast, attack will be the best form of defence against the champions.
"One of the aims has to be to stop Rotherham playing so, of course, we have to defend well and keep our discipline," he said. "We must also cope better than we did at Millmoor with the physicality of Rotherham but we've been very thorough in our preparation.
"However, I think this team's strength is in the way we attack. We cannot afford to go into our shells.
"We have scored 164 tries so far this season and we've done that by playing positive rugby."
