Amanda Hunt, who was due to talk about Women in the 18th Century was unable to attend the March meeting, so four members stepped in to entertain with brief talks about events in their lives.
Jan Hodgson and Mary Cartwright spoke of the years they spent training for their careers. Audrey Spells gave an account of a visit to The Globe Theatre, and Jose Thomas talked and sang about her early years in musicals.
Social time included inspection of the progress made on the parish map project, and a "bring and buy" stall.
The Monday speaker at Wolverley Memorial Hall will be Dr J Adams, talking about Sailing the Dream. The meeting will start at 7.30pm, and visitors will be welcome.
