At the March meeting of this Kidderminster club, David Skitt gave an illustrated talk about the Severn Valley Steam Railway.
He told how the "rescue" of this line began in 1970, and now there is a regular leisure operation on the line between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster, including themed weekends featuring Thomas the Tank Engine, Christmas specials, and 1940s revival occasions.
The next meeting of the club is on Tuesday when Jim Howe will speak on A World in one Country - South Africa.
The meeting, as usual, starts at 2pm in Trinity Church Centre, Kidderminster.
