STRATFORD Butterfly Farm, the world's largest importer and exporter of butterflies, is spreading its wings across Europe.
Following a rapid expansion of its market after the translation of sales catalogues into French, the company is now also supplying butterfly houses in both France and Germany.
The brochures, translated by Comtec Translations, of Leamington Spa, for use in European butterfly houses for identification purposes, will also be used by foreign tourists to the Stratford Butterfly Farm, which last year attracted more than 100,000 visitors.
Established in 1985, the Stratford Butterfly Farm has built a reputation for sourcing and supplying live pupae of tropical butterflies from around the world.
It exports 19,000 pupae a week at the height of the summer season, mainly to Europe but also as far afield as the USA, Canada, Russia and South Africa.
Tim Jenkins, marketing manager of the Stratford Butterfly Farm, said: "We have been particularly happy with Comtec's fast, efficient service, supplied in a format that is most compatible with our needs.
"We know we can leave it to them to get it right while we can get on with the business of making our service to our European customers even better."
4 Expanding: Tim Jenkins of the Butterfly Farm with Nicola Pellegrini-Baylis, centre, and Silke Rausch of COMTEC.
