A TIRED but jubilant Worce-stershire netball squad walked off court at Prince Henry's knowing that their place in Division Two was safe for another year.
Visitors Hampshire North were always up against it last Saturday as the County's girls soon built up an 8-0 lead.
However, the visitors hit back and only trailed 11-6 at the end of the opening quarter.
It was a similar story in the second period when Worcestershire outscored the south coast outfit two to one to lead 21-11 at the interval.
Hampshire enjoyed their best period of the match after the restart but still trailed by 14. They again stretched their hosts in the final quarter but it was the Worcestershire girls who remained on top and emerged 40-28 winners.
The Under-18 squad easily won their match 55-23 as they completed a highly successful campaign.
However, the Under-16s lost narrowly by two goals, while the county's second string lost out 42-37.
