7-30pm: this time accompanied by ex Mayoress of Evesham Mrs Rosemary Message I went to the Arts Centre again, this time to listen to the Band. Avonbank Band that is. and what a joy it was. It was a particular treat for me to hear the Training Band playing. I have chosen them as one of my charities this year to enable them to buy new instruments and encourage more youngsters to find the joy in Music and make lifelong friendships that are formed in the likes of a Brass Band.
A wonderful evening thoroughly enjoyed by all who went. If you missed this concert you can hear them playing at the St. Georges Day concert at the Evesham Methodist Church on Wednesday April 23rd 2003. Tickets £5.00 adults, £2.50 children obtainable from the Almonry Museum, Raphaels Restaurant & on 01386 41270.

Worked almost all day on the Monday Funday Runday planning where stalls could be placed and how many medals do we order.
And then started on the Heart of England in Bloom competition we are entering the competition again this year and we are up against some stiff opposition. The rules have been changed and we are now in competition with Biddulph. Oswestry, Stone, Stroud, Droitwich, Kenilworth, Stratford and Warwick.
All beautiful places and all determined to win the coveted Gold Award. So we really have got to start picking up our litter and plant baskets and troughs and make Evesham even better than ever. One advantage of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries.
