IT'S always a bit of a nuisance when road works are in progress, but the work has to be done. The A438 Ledbury road from the Mythe Bridge to our Bushley turning at The Oxhey is presently undergoing resurfacing, and there are temporary traffic lights in operation. However for one day on Monday the road will be closed completely. A 40mph speed limit is being introduced each side of the crossroads and the road closure will enable the red tarmac showing speed limits to be put down. We hope motorists will actually take notice of the speed limits but if the 30mph limit through the village is anything to go by, it is unlikely.
Please note that as it is Maundy Thursday next week, the weekly refuse collection will be made on Wednesday.
The service for Easter to be held in St Peter's Church will be at 9.30am Holy Communion. The services on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday will be at other churches in the benefice.
