BAT walks, badger trails, bluebells and a dawn chorus are featured in a new booklet detailing outdoor activities organised over the coming months.

Worcestershire County Coun-cil's latest Countryside Walks and Events in Worcestershire brochure is designed to help county residents enjoy the improving weather locally.

Highlights near Malvern for the rest of April include an amble across Rodge Hill, near Martley and along the River Teme on Saturday, April 26.

An open day at the Knapp and Papermill Nature Reserve, featuring guided walks, pond dipping, bug hunt, treasure trails and themed walks, will take place the following day, Sunday April 27.

Other activities include guided walks, nature trails and a stroll over British Camp with Ian Rowat, director of the Malvern Hills Conservators.

Details of walks are given alongside descriptions of routes and a difficulty rating indicating the number of steep hills and stiles.
