PALM Sunday will be celebrated at the village green in Hanley Swan
From 10.20am on Sunday (April 13), there will be games and activities including pony rides and a giant parachute. Hot cross buns and refreshments will also be available.
The congregation of the local church will join the fun, following their 9.30am service.
The Vicar of Hanley Castle, Hanley Swan and Welland, the Rev Frances Wookey, said: "I'm delighted that the church will be celebrating Palm Sunday in such a fun way. It will allow everybody to take part, especially those who find regular church services a little formal".
The event is being organised by the people who run children's activities at the church.
