A Second War War observatory built by a forerunner of QinetiQ looks set to become the legally recognised home of a Storridge man.
The six metre by four metre building was constructed during the war at Crumpton Oaks Farm by the Air Defence Research and Development Establishment.
Mark Knight has applied to Malvern Hills District Council for a certificate of lawfulness testifying to his right to live in the building.
He has lived there and in an adjacent mobile home for 10 years, which means he is entitled to apply for the certificate. This would protect him from any future action by the council to get him to move out.
