MATT Lowe is rated doubtful for Bromsgrove Rovers' Dr Martens Western Division clash at Cirencester Town tomorrow (3pm).
The goalkeeper limped out of action with a knee injury in last week's 2-1 win over Mangotsfield United, forcing substitute striker Les Palmer to take his place in goal.
Jim McGettrick and Steve Thomas are in the frame to replace him but joint manager Gary Hackett admitted Palmer had done an excellent job during his brief tenure. "He's been a substitute keeper before and is a confident lad," said Hackett.
"He said he was nervous but he's got an air of confidence and it showed.
"It was a well-deserved victory considering we were without Matt Lowe for much of the match but Les didn't have too much to do to be honest."
Goals from James Dyson and Paul Danks, with his first strike in seven appearances sealed the win to lift Rovers up to fourth place and put them in positive mood ahead of tomorrow's trip.
Hackett is a huge admirer of Danks but has told the striker he believes he should score more goals.
"Last week's effort was a real goalscorers' goal and I would like to see him score more of those," said Hackett.
"But one thing about Paul is that even when he's not playing well his work-rate is immense and it's greatly appreciated by the players."
