A PERFORMANCE of Handel's The Passion of Christ will start Easter celebrations in Colwall.
An enlarged choir and orchestra from St James' Church, featuring soloists Susan Black, Patrick Briddon and John Frith, will be giving the free concert on Palm Sunday.
Conductor and rector Rev Carl Attwood said: "Every year we do a concert to mark Holy Week. We've got a very good church choir and we're getting folks who are around to join in. Handel wrote a lot of very good church music and this is one example.
"It should be a good way of starting holy week and a good quality concert too."
The performance is on Sunday (April 13), at 6.30pm .
