OUR date with destiny is almost upon us. The boys are buzzing and really looking forward to the game.

After months of talking about it, we are now on the verge of something very special.

The fact remains, however, that this and everything which has been discussed about the match is just talk. Actions always speak louder than words and Saturday provides us with a great opportunity. It is now up to us to take it.

When the squad came together back in July there was one aim - to win our place in the Premiership. Now, after all those hours on the training field, we come down to 80 minutes which will decide our destiny. It's amazing really when you think of how much rugby has been played but I guess when you have two outstanding teams in one division, it is always likely to be that way.

It is a big, big game - we have to accept that. But what is important is that we realise that it is still that - just a game. You cannot let the hype and the live television coverage affect you. It is all irrelevant when it comes down to it. The important thing is to go out on the field and execute the game plan, play the best that you possibly can and give 110 per cent. The players need to feel free to play, that is what matters on Saturday, everything else is just a distraction.

We hope, however, that the home crowd can play a big part for us. The Worcester supporters were superb at Rotherham back in November. They rocked Millmoor with their noise and completely took over the stadium. It was just a pity that we couldn't give them more to cheer about on the day.

Of course we have very mixed memories about that game. We went into the half time interval 13-6 ahead after an OK performance and a wonderful Chris Garrard try. We were on cloud nine at such a scoreline.

Then we had to endure a Rotherham backlash which we were doing alright against until we were reduced to 14 and then 13 men. That was the real killer for us.

People remember that second half demolition. I would say that for the vast majority of the game we more than matched them. But any side would struggle with two men off the field due to a yellow and then a red card.

That was one of the main reasons for that final score and I still reject the fact that they completely overwhelmed us. I don't think we played very well in the second period but going down to 13 men certainly didn't help matters.

Saturday is all about pride and hunger. We need to show just how much we want it and how hungry we are for promotion. It's what we've been striving for now for a long time but we must remember that it is the same for Rotherham. They are the champions who were denied promotion last year so there's no doubt about it, they will come out with all guns blazing.

Victory would be all the sweeter for us after the result in November. It would also pay back some of our supporters after their great effort in South Yorkshire. They can play a massive part for us at the weekend and I think it would be lovely in front of those television cameras to show the rugby world what a packed out Sixways can sound like. It's not just the players that are on television, it's the crowd and they will, I'm sure, want to create a wall of noise to spur us on.

It's time for everyone to come together for 80 minutes at Sixways. We talk about how much we want to be in the Premiership. The supporters chat about how great it would be. The time has come to act. Players must put everything they have into these 80 minutes and the supporters have to sing their hearts out.

This is a test of how much we want something. We have to pass it, there is simply no alternative.
