HAVING answered most of what Gary Webb has thrown at me over the EU Federation issue, now he's resorting to calling me anti-British for my pro-European stance, (You Say, Saturday, March 29).
His desperate response reminds me of Aesop's fox, which dismissed the grapes that it couldn't reach, as sour.
I am no more anti-British - for believing in a Federal Europe - than certain regular contributors to this column, who never miss an opportunity to talk-up Britain's special relationship with America.
Surely, one can enjoy a drink of wine without being branded as an alcoholic.
Furthermore, I have no intention to go and live somewhere else in "Euroland", as suggested in his letter, I prefer instead to stay here to engage and provide a counter argument to the anti-Federal European biased views.
