Thomas Barber and Charles Bruton, labourers of North Malvern, were summoned for a breach of the peace at Belvoir Bank. Both defendants pleaded guilty. A witness stated he saw the two defendants having a tussle. They had a round or two and then dispersed. PC Ellison saw the defendants the day following and they bore marks of a violent struggle. They were bound over in the sum of £5 to keep the peace. Malvern Gazette, April 10, 1903.

Holiday-makers in Malvern over the Easter weekend encountered every variety of weather from sunny periods to thunderstorms and hail showers to high winds. This mixed weather undoubtedly militated against the usual large influx of day visitors to the town, though the hotels reported fairly good bookings. Malvern Gazette, April 10, 1953.

Motorcycle scramble races are to be held next Sunday afternoon at Grovesend Farm, about a mile from Ledbury on the main Hereford Road. Over 50 entries have already been received and, given fine weather, there should be a successful meeting. The organisers are the Ledbury Cobras, a new but enthusiastic body. A call for minibus services to be introduced in rural areas was made at Colwall Parish Council. Major Nicholas Neve said it was time the bus company stopped using buses built for London to negotiate narrow country and village roads and started using minibuses. Malvern Gazette, April 13, 1978.

Some council members of the Joint Burial Committee on Thursday denied all knowledge of any discussion about the levelling of graves at Ledbury Cemetery. And councillor Miss Sylvia Robinson said that when she was first approached by someone in deep distress about the work that had been carried out, she visited the cemetery and found no notice on the door.
