STRIKER Drewe Broughton signed for Kidderminster Harriers yesterday and then de-clared: "I'm your man for goals."
And that's exactly what Aggborough boss Jan Molby wanted to hear from the confident 22-year-old who will aiming to get off the mark at Mansfield tonight.
Broughton said: "I believe I can score goals without a doubt, but I also think I'll bring a lot more to the team.
"I'm big and strong and I can hold the ball up and also put myself about.
"It's a month's loan at the moment but hopefully it's with a view to a permanent move because I'd love to join the set-up here.
"It's a chance to play League football, so I thought at my stage at the moment that's the only thing I want to be doing.
"There was a chance maybe to go somewhere else in the Nationwide Conference but for me I needed to be somewhere with the right set-up and the right manager so I can push myself on.
"I haven't seen Kidderminster play, but I know Andy Ducros as I played with him at Nuneaton when I was on loan there for a spell last season."
Broughton, signed from Second Division Peterborough United, has been happy with his goalscoring form this term, particularly during his loan periods with Conference sides Dagenham & Redbridge and Stevenage Borough.
"I scored seven in nine games at Dagenham & Redbridge and then four in four at Stevenage. Everybody knows at Kiddermin-ster what the Conference is about, it's not easy."
The Hitchin-born marksman, however, firmly believes that he can play a major role in trying to get the Aggborough club into the play-offs.
"The league is so tight at the moment. I was involved last season with Peterborough when we got to the play-offs and eventually promoted. So it is attainable.
"It just means everyone has to knuckle down and graft and you have got to grind out a few one nils and all of a sudden the points are on the board and the club can get in there," said Broughton.
For the initial month, however, the front-runner, who began his career with Norwich City, knows exactly what he want to achieve - a regular flow of goals.
He said: "I just want to keep on doing what I have been doing this season. I'm delighted with how I have done in terms of goalscoring and I really feel my game has come on now. Now I just want to carry that kind of form in the Third Division.
"I feel confident about myself scoring. The chances will always be there.
"I'll just keep getting into the penalty box and hopefully after a couple of games the Harriers supporters will see what else I can bring into the side.
"Kidderminster are a skilful side, I can see that in training. I knew that would be the case, but sometimes you need something a little bit more cut-throat up front.
"There are some big lumps at centre half in this division and sometimes you need to knock them about a little bit and create the space for other people.
"I'm six feet three inches tall so that must be an asset."
Molby said: "He trained at Reading last week and nothing came of it so he then decided on his options.
"He is different to what we have got and he will give us a presence up front.
"Apart from being a good footballer his game is also about being sort of rough and ready and I think that will do us good."
