JAN Molby is today still basking in the glory of taking Kidderminster Harriers into the Football League.
But he's knows full well that it hasn't all been champagne and roses this season. In fact, at one stage early in the campaign, he admits he was at an all- time low.
That was at half-time in his side's Nationwide Conference clash at arch- rivals Rushden & Diamonds in only the third match of the season.
His side were trailing 4-1 and Molby recalls: "That was the worst I felt throughout the season. I've never ever felt like that in football before. I think I learned a lot about the players that day because we could have gone either way.
"We could have gone out and lost by seven or eight or we could have done what we did and lost 5-3 which I think showed the character in the side.
"The lads have seen us through some difficult games because all matches in the Conference are very difficult."
Molby also recalls back-to-back matches at home to Stevenage and away at Doncaster in early March as other major turning points.
"We had those two very difficult games in the space of four days. We won both of them late on and we showed an awful lot of character.
" I think that once we won at Doncaster in dramatic style in the last few minutes I realised that there is more to just football abilities in this game."
Kidderminster wrap up their historic campaign at Altrincham today and will continue the promotion-winning celebrations with a parade through the town in an open top double decker bus on Monday, May 15.
