KIDDERMINSTER Harriers hope to celebrate the biggest day in their history tomorrow by clinching promotion to the Football League.
They travel to meet relegation-haunted Woking needing just one point from their last four Nationwide Conference matches to guarantee a Third Division place next season.
"I hope we can do it to-morrow, but it's going to be a difficult away game as Woking are desperate for points," said Kidderminster boss Jan Molby today.
Harriers only title rivals Rushden & Diamonds are also in action tomorrow and face a tough test at home to high-riding Scarborough.
Molby said: "We want to clinch it tomorrow because that would make it a carnival atmosphere when we play Forest Green at Aggborough on Monday night."
Kidderminster stepped up their title push last Monday with a dramatic 1-0 win at Dover Athletic thanks to a stoppage time penalty by leading scorer Ian Foster. It was their sixth Conference win on the trot and their 14th in 16 league encounters.
Success at Woking tomorrow will enable former Swansea boss Molby to clinch the first trophy of his managerial career. He said: "That makes it massive for me. It will also be massive for the club because it is as big a promotion as there is in football. The pace we've set since the turn of the year meant nobody could have lived with us."
Kidderminster will again be without injured midfielders Andy Brownrigg (knee) and Phil King (thigh) while there is also a doubt about goalkeeper Tim Clarke because of back trouble sustained in training.
Harriers beat Woking 3-2 at Aggborough back in August, after their first three matches of the season had all ended in defeat. On the mark that day were Foster, Steve Taylor and former Bromsgrove Rovers campaigner Dean Bennett who has had an impressive season in midfield.
Aggborough officials, meanwhile, are drawing up plans to celebrate title success with a parade through the town in an open top double decker bus on Monday, May 15.
