GEOFF Cooke has blasted the Rugby Football Union for their "inability to make a decision" after the governing body set up another meeting to resolve the promotion row.

Worcester Rugby Club's chief executive was reacting to the RFU's new solution to the ongoing arguments between the English First Division Rugby clubs and second division sides.

The latest 'decision' has been to arrange another meeting between the two parties but this time with 'independent facilitators' to make the difference. The plan comes in response to the EFDR's (Premiership clubs) threat to breakaway from the RFU if Rob Andrew's plan was not implemented this week.

The plan, however, left Cooke unimpressed.

He said: "Nothing surprises me any more with the RFU. I'm afraid it's just typical at their inability to make a decision.

"We don't need facilitators to make the difference, we need the First Division clubs to back down over promotion and relegation. Another meeting will be a complete waste of time -- it is just prolonging things."

Meanwhile, Adrian Skeggs takes a full-strength side to Moseley for Saturday's Tetley Bitter Cup clash.

The Sixways' director of coaching restores the four who missed the 22-3 weekend win over Wakefield. Mathew Back returns at full back while forwards Andrew Lamerton, Neil Lyman and Dan Zaltzman are back in. Out go Ian Calder, Andrea Moretti, Richard Denhardt and Tony Windo.

Skeggs said: "Moseley will be a test for us but it is a welcome one because some of the players need a challenge after the Wakefield performance.

"We were desperately disappointed with the display on Saturday and I think the Moseley game gives a lot of the players a chance to restore some personal pride."
