KIDDERMINSTER Harriers midfielder Thomas Skovbjerg is expected to be out of action for at least eight months.
He is to have an operation next week on a knee injury which he suffered during last Saturday's Nationwide Conference draw with Altrincham at Aggborough. A scan has revealed cruciate ligament damage.
Danish import Skovbjerg has been an important part of manager Jan Molby's side this season, making 35 appearances and scoring four goals.
The Harriers boss is now hoping to sign a replacement to help his table-topping side's promotion push. He is thought to have a player in mind.
Meanwhile, Kidderminster will have to re-arrange their away Conference match at Sutton United on April 1. Sutton will be on FA Umbro Trophy semi-final duty after pulling off a shock 3-1 sixth round replay victory at Rushden & Diamonds last night.
