EXETER prop forward James Alvis will be on trial for Worcester as part of the club's first Open Day at Sixways on Sunday.
Alvis has been training with the club this week and will take part in one of the squad friendlies against either Midlands Two Malvern or Midlands West Two Kidderminster Carolians.
"We're having a look at him in a game situation to see how he comes up, but we're nowhere near signing him," said Director of Rugby Les Cusworth.
Twenty-eight-year-old Alvis played against Worcester three times last season and appeared in all but three of Exeter's games.
Despite being a prop, he is also a renowned try scorer and finished as Exeter's top scorer two seasons ago.
