WORCESTER City are likely to give some of their rising stars a game in tonight's Worcester Royal Infirmary Senior Cup first round tie with Westfields at St George's Lane (7.45).
City have named a full first-team squad for the clash with their Banks's Brewery League opponents, but could give starts to players such as goalkeeper Paul Wyatt, midfielder Danny Scheppel and winger Jamie Hyde.
Striker Carl Tranter and defender Martin Weir could also be given starts to continue their comebacks from injury.
Controversial
Westfields are expected to name the same squad that figured in Saturday's controversial abandoned Herefordshire FA County Challenge Cup tie with Wellington.
City climbed to seventh place in the Dr Martens League Premier Division with Saturday's 2-1 win at Stafford, but manager John Barton hit out at the team for letting Stafford back into it in the closing stages.
He said: "There was a lack of knowhow in killing a game off."
