TITLE-chasing Kidderminster Harriers will have a new on-loan striker in their squad for tomorrow's Nationwide Conference clash against lowly Welling United at Aggborough (3.00).
He is 21-year-old Bromsgrove-born Richard Burgess from Stoke City.
Stoke are to release Burgess at the end of the season and Aggborough manager Jan Molby is keen take a more in-depth look at the player who has also been on Aston Villa's books
He has played a couple of matches for Harriers Reserves, but is not expected to be in Kidderminster's starting line-up tomorrow.
Molby said: "We need to have a good look at him. He could possibly be a player for the future. He's very quick and has a good shot on him."
Starting
Skipper Paul Webb is set to return to Harriers starting line-up, replacing Rene Petersen who has returned home to Denmark to play on loan for First Division Hvidovre.
Webb has recently recovered from a hamstring trouble while midfielder Andy Brown-rigg is still battling to build up his fitness and is again not included in the squad.
Kidderminster will return to the top of the table tomorrow if they beat relegation-threatened Welling.
Harriers are one point behind leaders Rushden & Diamonds who are involved in FA Umbro Trophy action tomorrow.
Molby's men lost their table-topping spot last Saturday when they went down 3-1 at Kettering Town while Rushden missed out on going three points clear when they were held to a 1-1 home draw with Hednesford Town on Tuesday night.
Kidderminster go into tomorrow's clash on the back of an ten-match unbeaten home league record which includes nine victories.
The last time they tasted Conference defeat at Aggborough was when they lost 2-1 to Nuneaton Borough on Monday, September 13.
Molby said of tomorrow's encounter: "Welling are fighting for their lives. They have done for the last couple of seasons and tend to get out of trouble. But we have just got to make sure that we get the right result."
