TABLE-topping Kidderminster Harriers manager Jan Molby is convinced that the race for the Nationwide Conference title will go right down to the wire.
And he believes the key to their promotion bid will be how they will react when their unbeaten league run finally comes to an end.
"That's what decides whether you are a good team or not," said the former Liverpool midfield star, whose side went into today's match at Kettering without having lost in their last 12 league outings.
It's an impressive run which has hoisted them three points clear of second-placed Rushden & Diamonds, who have a game in hand.
"Touch wood, it's going to be a long time before we taste defeat again, but it will happen. Before the end of the season we will lose and draw and it's all about how quickly you bounce back after what will no doubt be disappointments.
"We've had five successive wins now which is nice and three consecutive clean sheets. We know what we have got here and that's good enough to take us very close to the title.
"Twelve matches without losing is a very good run. We had a difficult December particularly over Christmas with the local derbies and we have come through all that."
Hasrriers climb to the top of the table has bred an air of belief that they can clinch promotion to the Football League. Molby said: "The dressing room is very confident and there's a great spirit. The biggest problem now is keeping their feet on the ground, but I think they realise that with the likes of Rushden around it's going to go right to the wire."
