SATEKI Tuipulotu was on top of the world after his man-of-the- match display destroyed his former club Leeds Tykes.

The Tongan terror announced his engagement to girlfriend Rachel on the day he scored 23 points against Worcester Rugby Club's main rivals for the National League Division One crown.

Tuipulotu, whose partner is from Leeds, was in outstanding form, banishing the memories of the previous week's visit to Orrell where he missed six conversion attempts.

He said: "I couldn't have wished for any more against Leeds. The Worcester boys were fantastic.

"Luckily my kicking boots were on song again but the rest of the side deserve the credit because the defence was superb."

The 29-year-old spent three seasons at Headingley and is still held in high regard.

Tuipulotu holds the record for the number of conversions in one game and is also still the record points scorer against Worcester -- 44 in just two games.

However, he went a long way to re-addressing the balance with a dominant display, urged on by his new fiancee in the stands.

He said: "She used to shout for Leeds but I've converted her now!

"I popped the question to her on Friday night on Worcester bridge and luckily she said yes.

"It's been a great couple of days for me and I intend just to take it easy to celebrate."

Full-back Tuipulotu was keen to stress it was a team effort rather than a one-man mauling which saw off the Yorkshire side.

He added: "It wasn't me against my old club -- it was just another game for me and the team has won the game.

"We are delighted with the five points because to get four tries against those guys is quite an achievement.

"I think we've shown today we have the squad depth to win promotion," said the three-quarter.
