MIDFIELDER Adie Smith admitted Kidderminster Harriers failed to respond to boss Jan Molby's half-time team-talk as Mansfield clawed back a late equaliser.
Smith, who headed his first goal of the campaign, has taken over from the injured Mark Blake who missed the trip to his former club.
The 28-year-old, who netted five goals in four Division Three games last season, said: "We played really well in the first half and got the goal. We should have wrapped it up then.
"The gaffer said a few words at half-time and unfortunately we didn't really listen to him. Instead, we sat back and waited for them to come onto us which is exactly what they did.
"There was a lot of pressure, especially in the last 20 minutes when they had 10 men which we shouldn't have allowed to happen.
"We've come away with a point that should have been three but we've got to be happy. They looked a very good side.
"I'm now looking to build my fitness up, carry on playing and scoring goals and maybe help get us into the play-offs."
