MANAGER Jan Molby is convinced Kidderminster Harriers have a chance of Nationwide Conference title glory - provided they can get on a roll!

"I wouldn't be surprised if we were to put together a good run of wins. We haven't done that yet. Three consecutive league wins is the most we have produced and I think we can do better than that," said the former Liverpool star.

Molby has already stressed that Kidderminster need to be more consistent if they are to be in the shake-up for title glory and has been frustrated by the side conceding last-gasp goals.

At Telford United on November 6 they lost 3-2 to a 90th minute penalty and then last Saturday were forced to share the spoils in a 1-1 draw when Northwich Victoria grabbed an equaliser four minutes into stoppage time at The Drill Field.

"I feel that if we can put a long run of wins together then we have certainly got a very good chance of winning the league," said the Aggborough boss.

He added: "The thing with us this season has been the fact that we do win games. We have got that type of quality in the squad."

Molby is also encouraged by the way the newcomers are fitting into the Aggborough way of life including Danes Thomas Skovbjerg and Rene Petersen.

"Thomas is now studying and Rene has got himself a part-time job, so he's meeting people outside of football as well. I think with the improved results they have got a smile on their faces."

He is also pleased with the way the more recent newcomers like Ian Clarkson and Mike Marsh are settling in.

Both are experienced campaigners and Molby is convinced they are the type of performers who can play a major role in Kidderminster's quest to mount a serious challenge for a place in the Football League.

He said: "I think we can win the league. The teram has come together quicker than we anticipated.

"There have been a number of changes with players going and others coming in. Everybody has settled well. There's a fantastic team spirit within the camp and, although some of them haven't played a great deal yet, they have made an impression.

"Everybody is getting on with everybody and I still think we can get better. And, yes, we have got as good a chance as anyone else."
