A CHANGING room lock-in meant assistant boss Gary Barnett emerged to meet the press after Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Swansea.
Manager Jan Molby, hit by illness before the match, was still talking with and listening to his players an hour after the end of the match.
Barnett admitted: "Certainly in the first half, we've let ourselves down with two poor goals. We gave ourselves a big job to do and we couldn't pull it around.
"There were some poor first-half performances but there was a little bit of a response to create a few chances. However, our finishing problem has occurred again.
"There's a lot of talking to be done but once that's finished it's got to be back down to the hard work on the training ground and where it matters on the football field.
"We are looking for consistency and players who can say 'I can keep my shirt for the next match'.
"We don't have that at the moment. They've given the gaffer the opportunity to make changes if he wants to.
"But there's only this squad of players who can turn it around.
"As for the gaffer, he's had a lot of tests before and obviously came through them. There's no doubt in my mind or the players' minds that he will come through this."
Barnett said of the Brock red card: "That's purely frustration. It was a bad lunge by their player but it's disappointing that Brocky reacted that way.
"He's having a good season for us and is usually very calm. He obviously thought the lad could break his leg with that challenge."
