EXPERIENCED centre-back Mark Shail admitted Harriers are looking for that one game which will spark confidence in-front of goal.

While Harriers have conceded just one Division Three goal at Aggborough, they are finding it tough at the other end.

Shail, who was out of favour at the start of the season, has returned to help them to two draws in the last week in an improvement over past performances.

The 34-year-old said: "We did a lot of soul searching as a squad after the Shrewsbury game. We worked on being hard to break down.

"Now we have to stay positive. I don't think a striker has scored a goal this season and it will take one game for a spark and that bit of confidence.

"The frustrating thing is when we are on top of games, we don't turn chances and possession into goals and that's costing us a bit.

"But we have to work and defend as a team together and all of us take responsibility. There was good spirit and togetherness on the back of a good point at Hartlepool.

"It's also good for me to be involved. Both myself and Ian Clarkson were out of favour at the start of the season but it shows how things change.

"Craig Hinton's a great player and it will be good for the club when he's back and fit. But at the moment I'm just enjoying it. I don't know how long it will last but I won't do myself any harm if I play OK."

And on Tuesday night when Shail battled hard against former non-league rival Paul Moody, he added: "The performance was pretty solid.

"It was difficult as Oxford are a well organised, big side.

"I know Paul from a long time ago. We were both non-league players when I played for Worcester and Yeovil and he was at Waterlooville."

Oxford boss Mark Wright said after the game: "You have to give Kidderminster some credit.

"I thought they played some lovely football in the first half."
