STEVE Lutz is poised to return to Worcester City's starting line-up for tomorrow's Dr Martens League Premier Division game at Cambridge City (3pm).
Lutz is likely to have a fitness test before the game on the ankle injury that has kept him out of City's last two games.
But he came on as substitute against Moor Green last week and set up Mike Wyatt's late winning goal.
Manager John Barton, who expects to play him in midfield, said: "We are hoping the free week will have given him a chance. If he is fit, he will play."
City are likely to stick to the squad fielded against Moor Green, for what Barton believes will be a tough test.
Cambridge are fifth in the table and have a 100 per cent home record, and Barton said: "I was quite impressed when they came down to Worcester towards the end of last season.
"They have had a few seasons of struggling but seem to have made a bright, positive start. Most of the sides they have played against have spoken well of them.
"We will have to go there, dig in and show some resilience to stay with the game.
"In the last three games we haven't set the world alight but have achieved seven points out of nine, so that in itself is very pleasing at this stage of the season."
It's an important week for City with a trip to Bath City to follow on Tuesday, and Barton added: "We have two away games coming up against good opposition, and it can very quickly turn round if you're not careful.
"We need to use our points haul to lift our levels of confidence. Everyone needs to play a part."
The game definitely goes ahead despite the fuel shortage although City cancelled training last night, but Barton stressed it was not a night off for the players.
"They can all access local gyms and do a bit themselves. That is what the instruction has been and we expected it to be carried out.
