KIDDERMINSTER Harriers could be heading for their lowest-ever Nationwide Conference attendance when they entertain Southport on November 13.
The match kicks-off at 3.00pm, just when the much-hyped Scotland v England Euro 2000 play-off will be entering its second half.
Clubs up and down the country have been permitted to alter their kick-off times and dates that weekend to allow their fans to watch the big match.
But Harriers will have to stick to their normal kick-off time because although they favoured a Sunday date, they could not agree a switch with their opponents.
It is likely that the majority of fans will betray their club loyalties and watch the Hampden Park clash on Sky Television -- although as that game kicks off at 2.00pm, they could still get to Aggborough in time for the second-half!
Harriers' boss Jan Molby said: "We are no different from several other clubs. We looked at alternatives but Southport insisted on 3.00 on Saturday.
"There is no doubt it will affect our gate but the most important thing is the football and the three points.
"If we only get a 500 attendance and win three points, I'll be happy."
The Southport game will be one of only three Conference matches on that day.
Other clubs have been more forthcoming over a switch, with three games being moved to Friday and five to Sunday, including Hereford United's home clash with Northwich Victoria.
Meanwhile, transfer-listed striker Stuart Payne looks to be heading back to Aggborough again following a loan spell at Halesowen Town.
Molby wants to make the deal permanent, but Halesowen's manager, former Harriers boss John Chambers, is looking for Payne to stay on loan for two more months.
Payne has also had a loan spell at his former club Bromsgrove Rovers this season.
