Worcester Rugby Club flanker Simon Daws was set to start for England against Russia this afternoon -- their opening game in the Students World Cup.
Fellow Sixways squad member, Chris Simpson-Daniel was expected to start on the bench for the match in Rome.
The game was England's opening group clash of the World Cup -- they also face Japan on Saturday (5th) and Wales on Tuesday (8th).
Sixways rugby development officer Carl Douglas is also part of the set-up, helping prepare the side.
Douglas, who runs Worcester's community scheme and also assists the first team squad with fitness and preparation, worked with England Students throughout last season.
He will return to Sixways for the first pre-season game -- versus Pontypridd on Tuesday August 8.
