CECIL Duckworth believes the game isn't up just yet!

Worcester's chairman was devastated by Saturday's 21-9 defeat by Rotherham but is confident that with an on-going inquiry into the South Yorkshire club's dealings off the field, the champions will be punished.

Rotherham have been accused of agreeing to stay in National One last season for payments from Premiership clubs and with the results of an RFU inquiry likely to be heard in the next month, the goalposts could yet shift in the battle for the title.

Rotherham look certainties to clinch promotion and after the Sixways win are now six points clear of Worcester at the top.

Duckworth said, however: "We believe that Rotherham are guilty of breaking the rules so we'll have to see what effect that has on the inquiry," he said.

"Worcester were deducted two points for a minor technical fault four years ago. On today's points system that would be equivalent to five points. What you would do for what Rotherham have done, I really don't know."
