BROMSGROVE Rovers slid to a 2-0 Dr Martens League Western Division defeat at Cirencester Town.
Rovers almost scored on two minutes when Paul Danks had a shot blocked and Steve Lutz had a header cleared off the line.
Cirencester began taking control and the pressure finally told on 36 minutes.
Nick Beaverstock played a through ball inside the Rov-ers back-line, Knight chested it down, cut inside the area and despatched the ball under the advancing keeper.
Minturn's header crashed off the bar from Knight's delightful pin-point free kick as Cirencester dominated, but right on half time Rovers almost stole an equaliser. Danks produced a shot on the turn and it looked a routine save for Mark Hervin but somehow the ball squirmed under his body and he was relieved to see it hit the post and roll to safety
The second goal arrived for Cirencester on 63 minutes. Knight floated over a corner, Rovers failed to clear and McCabe controlled the loose ball, side-stepped a tackle and rifled a shot into the roof of the net. Cirencester had loud appeals for a penalty turned down on 76 minutes.
