A mother-of-six who stole a video recorder and tapes from a neighbour's house has been jailed for a year at Worcester Crown Court.
Klair Bradshaw, aged 34, of Teme Avenue, Worcester, who admitted burglary, was arrested after her fingerprints had been found at the property, said Jane Sarginson, prosecuting.
There was evidence the house had also been burgled by other people, said Miss Sarginson.
Bradshaw had entered through an insecure window in search of valuables to fund her heroin habit.
She also admitted failing to surrender to bail and the breach of a community rehabilitation order. She asked for three shoplifting offences to be considered.
Tim Sapwell, defending, said Bradshaw had a chaotic lifestyle but had recently settled down with a partner. She had become drug-free while on remand in prison.
Judge Michael Mott said Bradshaw had broken promises in the past and he was not going to take a chance in letting her back into the community at the present time.
