A STABLE block on land off Kempsey Common would potentially bring extra traffic and cause wear and tear to the common, parish councillors agreed.
A planning application submitted by David Harrison is for three stables, a tractor shed, hay store and tack room.
Mr Harrison, who is a member of Kempsey Parish Council, withdrew from the room while the plans were being discussed at this week's meeting in Kempsey Community Centre.

"If there are horses or ponies, they will be attended to twice a day, possibly with 4x4 or larger vehicles," said planning chairman Ann Hart.
Members agreed that the access was inadequate and they would prefer not to have any more development, bringing an increase in traffic across the common.
They recommended that permission should be granted on a temporary basis, renewable after the situation had been reviewed.
